EunJoo Lee is a dance teacher at Wonkwang Girls middle school.
She is 55 years old and she enjoys line dancing very much and wants to let other people know about the joy of dancing.
Last month, she won the first prize in the second national line dance competition.
Gym workouts are boring and many people find it hard to regularly work out at the gym, although they want to shed some kilos and stay in shape.
The good news is that line dance can replace gym workouts and allow people to have fun as they exercise.
With line dance, an artful mixture of fitness and dance, one can burn a lot of calories an hour while dancing to pop music.
Typical workout moves such as squats and lunges are partially blended into the dance moves.
I usually dont perspire much, but Line has me perspiring and feeling refreshed afterward. The great thing about line dance, besides its massive workout effect, is that it is really meant to let people enjoy themselves and relieve stress, said the teacher.
Line dance is great for people of all age because it helps people build up muscles without taxing their joints, she added.
She found out that dancing can relieve people from stresses and improve their overall well-being.
She also said that dancing improve ones memory because they have to remember the steps and build social and people skill.
Lee will participate in the international dance competition in August. in Malaysia because she wants to let other people know about Iksan Line dance.
